Advent Christian Church to Worship Through Serving April 27
The Church has left the building! And this Sunday, their community will be glad they did. Advent Christian church is putting their faith into action by canceling their regular Sunday morning service to worship by performing acts of service in their community. They will gather later in the evening for a fellowship dinner at 5:30 p.m. and a celebration service at 7 p.m..
Volunteers from both the church and the community will be joining together to do cleanup and and landscape work at Prophetstown Elementary School and a local park, and to a assemble basic childbirth kits for a mission in Honduras.
Any one who would like to participate can come to the church at 8:3 8:30 a.m. that Sunday, come to the Elementary School, or call the the church. Please bring rakes, shovels, etc. to work with if you plan plan to help with landscaping.
The work project will be held in what is being called Faith in Action Weekend, a nation wide observance that is sponserec by World Visions, Zondervan Publishing, Outreach Inc., and the Advent Christian General Conference of America.
